Saw Matt Rife perform last night at The Funny Bone in the Greater Cincinnati Area for the first time ever and I can't remember when the last time was that I laughed that hard!!!! The last four years have been tough on everyone so take the time & money to treat yourself to a night of laughter...you won't be disappointed! Matt's popularity is only growing so get your tickets now so you can say you too are now one of his biggest fans!!!

LEVI WAS IN THE BUILDING
The wife, a couple of her girls and I saw Matt and his boys Saturday night at Ocean Casino Resort. Matt really knows how to work the crowd. His interaction with his 85 year old fan from Florida was flawless. My wife's friend was looking for Levi for the rest of the night (BBC). You had to be at the 10 o'clock show to get the joke. Absolutely brilliant. This kid is going places.

WHY SO MUCH HATE?
As a fellow Ohioan & genuine lover of his comedy, I felt slightly embarrassed as a woman. This sweet, genuine, and funny guy had a bit too many hecklers in the audience too early on in the show. That is not his fault whatsoever. I believe he did try his best to handle it respectfully. However, it got so bad that he told one woman to “jump off the balcony”.. just to get people to stop (women). People WERE very disrespectful in the crowd. I am not a performer, so how the hell would I know how to handle that… i wouldn’t.. no good person would.. so I felt for him in that moment. Yet, i was in the front row and could feel his angry frustration, and it was not coming from a funny place. Again, people are rude, and he is human just like the rest of us. SO MORAL OF THE STORY IS STOP HECKLING FOR HIM TO DO CROWD WORK. IT IS HIS SHOW…. And he will do it when he wants to. Please be more respectful and aware when trying to show your love. Great show. Great comedian. Great guy. And at the end of it all, who wouldn’t love him? Just stop shouting mid-show… until he asks… hahaha

GREAT TIME IN BOSTON!
I saw Matt Rife in Boston last night and had a great time! His opening acts weren’t funny, but Matt was amazing. I definitely recommend his show!!

MATT RIFE (& COMPANY! ((MY WORDS, NOT HIS!))
THE 2nd most EPIC b-day (61 trips around the Sun!) EVER! Not only is he freakin' good on the eyes, his quick wit, dry sense of humor & delivery are second to none! Trust me, being a (young @ heart) Boomer, by far the best I've ever seen/heard.
The Paramount Theatre is also a 2nd to none venue!!
Well worth seeing!!

HE WAS FUNNY BUT. . .
I have to admit, he is a very funny guy. However, the 7:00pm show started late, the opener's set was longer than Matt Rife, who was only on for 45 minutes. We spent a lot of money on tickets to see Matt Rife, not the opener.
Don't know why he couldn't do his complete set and either start the 10:00pm show late, as well, or cut the opener's set if there were strict end times for the 10:00pm show.

JUST NOT FUNNY
I guess I was wanting more.. He's really not worth 300 a ticket.
The crowd interaction was a little over the top..

MATT RIFE AT OFF THE HOOK IN NAPLES FL
Matt was funny, but not near as funny or engaging as I have seen in his many video clips. Was very excited to see him and have seen some really hilarious comedians over the years. I was a little disappointed after being so excited. Maybe he just wasn’t into it that night? He was late getting out on stage and his openers weren't that funny either.

MORE RIFE LESS WARMUPS
We had no idea that the show featured 2 warmup acts before Matt came out. The show started late and the 2 comedians weren’t very funny. Sadly, they were on longer than Matt.
Hard to rationalize spending that much money on tickets and only have Matt perform for 45 minutes. He was hysterical as always but the shortness of his program was very disappointing.

UGH, NOT GREAT
Matt’s impromptu stuff with the audience was funny but his rehearsed stuff was blah. He’s definitely over valued himself and I would not see him again. He had 2 openers and Erik Griffin was Amazing, was in tears the whole time he was up there.

MATT RIFE IN ARIZONA- DOWNTOWN
I have watched Matt Rife online for over 18 months. When I saw that he was coming to AZ I purchased 2 tickets 2nd row from front. Very expensive and impulsive. I was so excited to go see him in person. My daughter flew out from Iowa to go with me. Fast forward to last night. The show was late supposed to start at 10 pm and it had 5000 people there trying to get in before 10 but it was 10:30 before we got in. 2 guys opened for him. They were alright. Matt came on uneventfully. He didn’t have the same look nor energy as the online videos portray. He seems much smaller in person and just not as engaging either. Online it appears that he does a lot of crowd work and interaction. In person, at this point anyways, he was distant and removed from the crowd and mostly speaking sort of quiet in his own world. We all came there and it appeared he didn’t see us. It was a huge audience but I bought 2nd row seats. He did talk to 3 people and they all were boring. Very g rated conversations. For paying over $1400 for 2 seats I wanted adult level banter. I love Matt Rife online and only wished it was the same in person. I was sadly disappointed. I like who he is marketed to be a lot. My seats were good. The venue is too big however. I hate going downtown. There is nothing near this place either. I think he should perform in smaller venues and bring back the roots of what he was trying to do in the beginning. Just my humble opinion.

JUST NOT FUNNY
His crowd banter is not that clever. He's simply not funny. He's thirst trapping to make up for it. It was a dull show for 300$

The set was not good. The first 2 acts were cringe and very hard to understand them at times. Then Matt’s was not really funny at all, I was very surprised. Barely any crowd interactions and his jokes were subpar.. we ended up leaving during his set. Definitely needs to work on his material more, he has a lot of potential. Possibly his smaller crowd interactions are better?

DISAPPOINTED
I have been looking forward to this show for months but was disappointed. Not only were tickets extremely expensive but the opening acts (2) were not that funny, difficult to understand and only made my chuckle once or twice.
When Matt came out, his energy was good but like the opening acts, I only chuckled a couple of times. Some crowd interaction was good and that could have been the warning at the beginning that anyone being loud, heckling or using their phones would be escorted out. Lots of jokes re: drugs which seemed to go on a little too long - much like a Family Guy bit when it goes on, and on and on.
Ultimately, disappointed we went. 4 tickets were over $ 1 100.00. I should have stayed home and watched some of his bits on Youtube.

PROBLEMATTIC WORLD TOUR
Very disappointing! Went to the early Thursday show and aside from starting late, the openning acts were far from warm up but they were on stage longer than Matt himself. They sparked a little heckle at best. Matts routing was unfortuneatly not funny. One skit he just dragged on for way to long (with no laughter). His audience interaction wasnt like his video clips .. maybe an off night for him. Bottom line the show was not worth the 100 dollar plus ticket price. Would have been a better evening ordering a pizza and watching his clips online ....

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Unfortunately the show started late. The opening acts took up 40 min. Matt came on after 8 and show was done by 9:05pm. Not what I was expecting.
Sandra Broyles from Boston, Massachusetts
VERY DISAPPOINTING
The 10pm show started very late. The openers were funnier than him/ and that’s not saying much. I felt like it was too staged including the audience. He wasn’t that funny. What happened Matt!!! I’m glad I didn’t spend as much as I wanted, I would be asking for my money back. Sorry Matt- you just weren’t that funny

ACT TOO SHORT AND NOT VERY FUNNY
Matt Rife at Hard Rock Sacramento was pretty disappointing Friday night. First of all he had 2 opening acts which we were unaware of and we did not come to see. It seemed they were on longer than Matt. but we understand that sometimes there is a warmup act, but One not two. I feel Matt is better suited for smaller venues where he can more connect to the audience which he did not do much of Friday night. But I totally understand getting the bucks from the larger venues because he certainly has been doing that so good on him. But truly the show is not very funny and way too short for the money. We wont be paying again for this. Too bad because he is funny on his short little video clips on all the media. I will watch those. :)
As for the venue. We had great seats. very comfortable. The casino and the parking were a nightmare in and out. Trying to herd 4900 people thru the casino is crazy and then leaving the parking lot OMG. I suggest valet next time that should be much better.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
I’ve never walked out of a comedy show or been offended in one. I was so excited to see him as I’ve been watching a lot of his clips on FB. We paid a lot of money for the tickets. His opening acts were awesome, really funny. But he was TASTELESS! After 20 minutes of making fun of “retarded” people, he then proceeded to talk about screwing old people in nursing homes. Seen many comedians from Robin Williams to Dave Chappelle who offended everybody, but did it in a tasteful way…Matt Rife was offensive and out of line! He went on and on, too long and made it not funny.

LIKE A BAD DREAM
Really disappointed Matt Rife really needs to work on his show, kept waiting to find something funny in his show. Couldn’t wait to leave but kept holding on to see if his show improved, it didn’t. Keep your money! Really feeling ripped off by the internet, should be refunded

MATT RIFE WASTE OF TIME
If I would have only known how bad the Matt Rife Concert would be I would have stayed home and washed my hair, then I would have conditioned it. In spirit of full disclosure, I’m completely bald. Save yourself time and money and do not go to the Matt Rife concert….ever

WHAT RULES?
I hate to say that I wasn't very amused by the show last night. To begin with, it started later than expected. Then his opening comedian ended up closing the show with him. Matt smoked Marijuana and told the crowd that it was because it was "legal" in Arizona. I guess it's ok for him to legally smoke indoors but it was a crime for my sister to reply to a text message. They kicked her out of the theater barely 20 minutes into the show. I stayed to watch. Matt's jokes about screwing old people were more disturbing than funny. I felt myself laughing more about the stupidity of his jokes. Also, why was he wearing a hoodie? It's summertime in Arizona!!
