satch/vai tour 2024

Following on from the first-ever G3 tour in 2023, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai will continue the party as they take to the road as a duo in spring 2024! Commenting on this extra special jaunt, Satriani said "The Satch/Vai Tour is happening! I'm so looking forward to sharing the stage with Steve again. Every time we play together, it takes me back to when we were teenagers, eating and breathing music every second of the day, pushing, challenging, and helping each other to be the best we could be. I guess we've never stopped!" Don't miss these re-energized performers when they hit a stage near you.

The man behind the axe

Satriani started his music career as a guitar instructor before going on to tour with the likes of Mick Jagger for the latter's first solo tour, Brian May and Steve Morse during the Eighties and Nineties. When out of the recording studio or not touring he continues to keep his hectic work pace up by perfecting his own signature range of Ibanez guitars, the JS Series as well as his own distortion pedals.

Satriani is currently the lead guitarist for the group Chickenfoot, a hard rock band hailing from the USA and made up of several other rock icons including Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Chad Smith. Citing major influences such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore and Jeff Beck, he has mastered a huge range of picking skills, and is famed for his prodigious skill in tapping, volume swells and legato, to name a few.
