Who is Josh Johnson?
Emmy-nominated writer, stand-up comedian, actor, and NAACP Award winner Josh Johnson grew up in Louisiana and built his career in Chicago before becoming one of comedy’s fastest-rising voices. He joined The Daily Show as its newest correspondent after spending six years writing for the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series. Before that, he wrote for and performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
On stage, Johnson headlines theatres, comedy clubs, colleges, and festivals worldwide. Comedy Central named him a “Comic to Watch”, while the Just for Laughs festival selected him as a “New Face”. He later won the “New York’s Funniest” competition at the New York Comedy Festival in 2018, and Variety recognised him as one of its “10 Comics to Watch” and continues to build a repertoire as one of the most skilled comics in the game!
