Like many artists in her genre, Chrisette first found her voice singing gospel in church, developing a jazz-tinged style often compared to the late, great Billie Holiday. It wasn't long before she was featured on tracks by Jay-Z and Nas, truly coming into her own with the Grammy Award-winning single "Be OK" in 2009.
