Emmy award-winning and world-renowned violinist Damien Escobar is back! After officially coming out of retirement Escobar is heading out on the road once more. Damien Escobar decided to go solo in 2012 after starting out as a duo with his older brother in Nuttin But Stringz. Celebrated for bringing the violin into the modern era, Escobar regularly crosses his violin with other genres for example, hip-hop, jazz, R&B and pop.
Detroit Symphony Orchestra sees in the season by showing us two sides of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker! Performing Tchaikovsky's timeless Nutcracker Suite composition for ballet, followed by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn's swinging, jazz re-imagining of the work from 1960, it's a true Nutcracker bonanza!
