Celebrating The 50th Anniversary Of Led Zeppelin
In 1968, four mighty rock and roll warriors rose from the streets of London to forge a musical alliance that would change the face of heavy metal forever. So successful was their partnership, Led Zeppelin's sledgehammer beats, mayhem-filled rock opera arrangements and thunderous riffs live on in the hearts of multiple generations of fans to this day.
The Detroit Symphony Orchestra and rock 'n' roll guest conductor Brent Havens pay homage to Bonzo, Page, Plant and Jones during a special 50th anniversary celebration of their rich musical legacy at the Orchestra Hall this Summer. Accompanied by a full rock band, the ensemble will conjure the fire and fury of Led Zep's stellar catalogue of flaming hits, from the siren cry of the Immigrant Song, to the esoteric psychedelia of Kashmire, and of course, the most played song on guitar by beginner guitarists Stairway to Heaven.
