A true classic in the American canon

Why See Driving Miss Daisy?

An American Classic

Performance Network Theatre present a rendition of this wonderfully nuanced play about Miss Daisy, a testy, wealthy southern widower for whom life takes an unexpected turn when she hires Hoke Colburn (James Bowen) an African-American, to be her Chauffeur.

Pulitzer Prize winner Driving Miss Daisy explores the issues of racism an predicted that permeated American Society in the 1940s, and how against the tumult of civil unrest, one unlikely duo learn about the transformative power of a working relationship turning to friendship in this warm and inspiring production that was famously adapted into an Oscar winning film starring Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy.
