A chekovian heroine faces the harsh realities of a rural New York winter
Don't miss the Michigan premiere of the adaptation of renowned American playwright Sharr White's The Snow Geese, a powerful exploration of loss, denial and family values. Last seen on Broadway in 2013, the play is a poignant commentary on American foreign policy and the modern day financial crisis.
Paying homage to the realism of Chekov and Stanislavski, The Snow Geese follows the Gaesling family. In the wake of her husband's death, Elizabeth Gaesling struggles to maintain normalcy. Gathering her family for the opening of hunting season in rural New York, she must come to terms with her son's imminent deployment and the financial ruin caused by her late husband.
